In 2011, Medtronic developed its first iPad application, marking a significant step in integrating mobile technology into its operations. This initial app was part of a broader initiative that led to the creation of the Medtronic App Store, which launched in December of that year. By June 2011, Medtronic had developed several internal applications, including mStar, a productivity tool for sales representatives, and mCMS, a content management system for organizing and distributing product information. These apps were primarily used by the sales and marketing teams, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness. The development of these applications was a collaborative effort, with tsitedesign as one of their preferred external partners. The iPad application depicted below was the first application to start this business industry revolution.
